As in the previous year, Gen-Plus invited to the Come & See Day in Munich.
This year´s lecture series was opened by Prof. Dr. Dr. Lorenz Meinel, from the Institute for Pharmacy and Food Chemistry of the University of Würzburg, who presented current developments in the field of “Bioresponsive Drug Delivery Systems”. Thereafter, Dr. Gerald Huber from Teva Pharmaceuticals/ratiopharm addressed the topic “Pharma 2030” and shared his visions and analyses regarding impending changes in the pharmaceutical industry. Last but not least, Prof. Dr. Stefan W. Hockertz from the tpi consult GmbH gave an insight into the EMA guideline concerning “shared facilities”.
During a guided tour through the manufacturing area, the visitors could gain an insight into various technologies, such as spray drying in containment systems, and manufacturing of oro-dispersible films (ODF). Furthermore, the topic e-drug played a major role and printing technologies, namely 2D-and 3D-API printing, as well as visions and first prototypes for intelligent drug delivery systems based on chip-technologies were presented.
After vivid discussions and a lively exchange of ideas, customers and employees are already looking forward to the Come & See Day in 2017.
